We loved doing 24 Days of Random Acts of Christmas Kindness so much in December that we just could not stop. We are celebrating 2013 with 52 Weeks of Random Acts of Kindness. And would love to have you join in!

Have you been thinking about focusing on helping others this year?
Did you want to try a month or week or day of Random Acts of Kindness with your family?
Then now’s the time! I posted at Christmas about how important I think intentionally focusing on kindness is and I will add that intentionally doing random acts of kindness in December was amazing for our family. It really helped us slow down and focus on what was important during a time of the year that can get crazy, stressful, and overcommercialized. It was definitely a gift we gave to ourselves.
We are going to keep doing the small acts that have become a habit, my kids can spot a piece of litter anywhere and make you stop the car so they can go and pick it up, and participate in some fun, meaningful service and kindness projects.
First up is Toddler Approved’s 100 Acts of Kindness Project January 21st to February 14th!
It’s a 4 week project where families and classes are challenged to commit and record 100 Acts of Kindness. There are fun weekly kindness challenges given by different bloggers (including me!) and a Kindness Celebration at the end. Check out her 100 Acts of Kindness Project post for more info and make sure to head over to Toddler Approved the week of the January 21st to get started!
Also that week I will be starting a series of Acts of Kindness Hangouts on Air!
Twice a month I will be hosting a live broadcast on Google Plus that will also be appearing here on Coffee Cups and Crayons all about random acts of kindness. I will be joined by a bunch of fantastic bloggers, charities, and parents (maybe you!) who will be sharing ideas, crafts, projects, and tips for family service and acts of kindness.
I’ll share more about this next week, but in the meantime circle me on Google Plus and get ready for a fantastic year of service and fun! And if you have a great Random Act of Kindness idea leave it in the comments. If you’re a blogger leave your favorite links and if you’re not just share your ideas or email me your photos. I’d love to feature you!
Don’t know what Google Plus is? Then you are missing out! It is my favorite form of social media because it is so interactive. Check out this Getting Started Guide from Marc Pitman to make a profile and 10 Reasons Why Google Plus is Better than Facebook to figure out how to use it. Once you get it set up check out the communities, they are what make G+ way more fun and social than FB or twitter.

I’m looking forward to this series on your blog this year – I really enjoyed reading about everything you did for Christmas!

Looking forward to taking part in Toddler Approved’s 100 Acts of Kindness Project, then also discovered your 52 Weeks of Kindness acts. This year is going to be a good kind one!
My website is also written to raise a smile from strangers who have toddlers (or had toddlers). I write from my toddler point of view and I hope that it brightens the day for parents everywhere.
