Now that spring is almost here they wanted to try something new and we came up with Rainbow Yogurt Pops!
Rainbow Yogurt Pop Ingredients:
- plain or vanilla yogurt
- your favorite food coloring (here’s an affiliate link for natural food coloring if you are worried about dyes)
- mini jelly jars or paper cups
- popsicle sticks
We put yogurt into six bowls and added the colors. Depending on your food coloring you will have to experiment with how much to add. It was such a fun way to practice color mixing with my preschooler!
We then layered the yogurt into our wide mouth jars and stuck in a popsicle stick. We originally tried to layer it in our popsicle molds but it was too difficult for my preschooler to not mix the colors and she had her heart set on rainbow stripes.
Luckily I remembered seeing a post from What Do We Do All Day? about making popsicles in jars so we used those instead. Little paper cups would also work.
Then we stuck them in the freezer for a couple hours until they were completely frozen. I was worried when we took them out to eat because I could not get them out of the jars!
After a couple minutes at room temp though they loosened up and we had pretty rainbow yogurt pops! Yum!
