We are kicking off the 100 Acts of Kindness Project with kindness acts for family members! We started the week at our house doing nice things for each other, drawing pictures, doing favors and giving lots of hugs and kisses.
We even made our own hug coupons to give out as an act of kindness family members could turn in whenever they need one!
These are so sweet and easy to make! The coupons would be great for families who may have one sibling that loves to give hugs and another who is hug resistant or to give as a Valentine’s Day gift.
My older daughter designed a coupon for us to use and I made color copies of it for the other kids to fill out and decorate.
Once my younger two had a template to use they were excited to start making and handing them out! Depending on your kids ages and interests you can ask them each to design their own or use a family one too.
I have a feeling we will be making lots of homemade hug coupons this year!
Week 1 Kindness Challenge
Kristina from Toddler Approved announced the first kindness challenge last Sunday in our 100 Acts of Kindness newsletter, it’s not too late to sign up. Newsletter subscribers get the challenge before anyone else along with lots of easy ideas and resources for doing acts of kindness with your kids.
This week’s kindness toward family challenge is lots of fun! To participate you are challenged to cut up 10 hearts, write a brief kind note on them, and leave them in unexpected places for the family members you love.

I know! I have been trying to soak it all in because I know there will come a day when they don’t say, “It’s hug time!” all day long!!! Thank you!
