Lego Brick {Inspired} Valentine Box for Kids

We are in full Valentine’s Day crafting mode!  Only days left until Valentine’s Day and all of my kids need card holders for their valentines.

My kindergartner wanted to make his valentine box out of Lego bricks, but I wasn’t sure how that would work at school so instead he made his valentine mailbox into a big Lego brick!

How to Make a Lego Valentine Box or Card Holder

How to Make a Lego Brick Valentine Holder:

  • shoe box
  • wrapping paper
  • bottle cap tops
  • tape
  • hot glue

We started by cutting a hole in the top of the box and wrapping it with the wrapping paper.  Then we wrapped each of the bottle tops in the same color wrapping paper.  This was lots of fun because it involved using a lot of tape which is always favorite with kids!

Last, but not least, I hot glued the covered caps to the top of the box and it was done!  Well, almost.  He just needs to add his name to the top tomorrow.

He is in love with how it turned out and I loved that is was even easier than I thought it would be! Now that’s what I call a crafty win!

You could use a Kleenex box too, don’t you think?
