DIY Thieves Cleaner

I love finding more natural products to use in my day to day life.  It is no secret that I love my essential oils.  They are great for me and my family for many things.  I recently decided to try a classic DIY Thieves Cleaner recipe to see if the homemade cleaner would work as good as the store bought cleaners.

I was skeptical at first but impressed in the end…

How to Make DIY Thieves Cleaner

I have seen several recipes for Thieves cleaners.  I  went with the super basic one.

DIY multipurpose cleaner

Just water and essential oils.  I added 15-20 drops of thieves oil in the bottle of a dark glass spray bottle. I then filled with distilled water. I gave it a little shake and it was ready!

I am not sure who wanted to try the DIY multi cleaner spray  more; me or the kids.  The kids got the first go round with the cleaner.  You can see before and after pictures above.  The cleaner worked!  And it smelled amazing too.

We have used this on wood table, counter tops, glass doors ( it streaks a little but my glass doors never stay clean and this stuff does get the sticking fingerprints off), and I have even cleaned spills up off my hardwood floors with it.  So far it is working.  I look forward to trying more natural cleaners out in the future.
