Graduation cap cupcakes are such a sweet way to celebrate a graduation!
Make them for preschool or kindergarten graduation or even at a high school graduation party.
I first made these on the blog a couple years ago when my oldest was graduating from kindergarten and now it’s my son’s turn for kindergarten graduation! I thought I’d share some updated photos since this is such a fun idea.
Graduation Cap Cupcakes
- cupcakes or muffins without liners
- chocolate frosting
- graham crackers
- licorice whips
- M&Ms
Make or purchase cupcakes or muffins to use as the base for the cap. Then add graham crackers, a little bit of chocolate frosting, licorice whips, and M&Ms.
They are super simple to make. All you do is use the frosting to “glue” the graham cracker to an upside down cupcake and then a little more frosting to “glue” the M&M and licorice tassel on top. You can even make muffins instead of cupcakes to make them a little healthier.
These cupcakes are fun to make for big kids too! My mom even made them again for me when I got my Master’s in reading. A cute way to celebrate a fun milestone.
