We love to make homemade gifts to give to the kids teachers and coaches. Our new favorite this year is a homemade coffee cup sleeve!

Homemade Coffee Sleeve Craft for Kids! A great homemade gift to go with a Starbucks reusable cup!

I love Starbucks and try to use their reusable coffee mug whenever I can, but if you don’t have one of their paper sleeves those cups get hot!  We decided to try making our own reusable sleeve at home using felt and it works perfectly!

Homemade Coffee Sleeve Craft:

  • felt
  • fabric paint
  • hot glue gun
  • fabric scissors
  • paper coffee sleeve from Starbucks (optional)

Open up the paper sleeve and trace the outline onto a piece of felt.  If you don’t a have a Starbucks sleeve to trace you can just freehand your own, it doesn’t have to be exact.

Use the fabric scissors to cut out the felt and decorate it however you like with the fabric paint. When it’s dry hot glue the sides together and it’s ready to be used!

Homemade Coffee Sleeve! Perfect DIY gift for kids to make!

You can give the coffee cup sleeve with the reusable coffee cup from Starbucks (they’re only $1!) and add a gift card or some candy to it for a fabulous homemade gift that anyone would enjoy!

If you can embroider then check out these felt embroidered coffee cup cozies from Artchoo, they are completely gorgeous!
