Rainbow Color Sorting Busy Bag

 Spring is almost here and I am ready for all things rainbow!

We came up with a fun rainbow color sorting busy bag that is so simple to put together.

Rainbow Color Busy Bag

• egg carton
• paint
• food coloring (optional)
• pasta

The best thing about this busy bag is just how easy it is to put together! We didn’t have enough food coloring to dye all the pasta so we half dyed, half painted ours. As long as you color it somehow you will be set.

We added the pasta and the paint or dye to the bag and shook it up until is was covered. We then laid it on wax paper to dry.

We painted the bottoms of the egg carton red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple and painted the top black. Then once the pasta was dry we added the pasta to the top of the egg carton for the kids to sort by color.

All of the pieces of this rainbow busy bag can be stored right inside of the egg carton so it is perfect for playing with on the go!
