This Turtle themed Mother’s Day card may just be the cutest thing ever! Kids can make homemade Mother’s Day (or cards for a special Grandmother, Aunt, friend, teacher…) with a “turtley cute” turtle theme using cupcake liners and just a few craft items.
Turtle-themed homemade Mother’s Day card
Start with two different sized green cupcake liners. These can be found in the baking section of craft stores.
Flatten the cupcake liners and fold in half. Add a bit of glue to the inside of the cupcake liners. Glue the folded liners onto the card surface. These will become the turtle shells. You can make as many little turtles as you like, but only use one large cupcake liner. The larger turtle will become the “mom” and the smaller sized cupcake liners will be the turtle kids.
Use yellow card stock to snip half circle shapes to form heads and feet for each of the turtles.
Glue the heads and feet into place on the turtle shells. Write in marker, “I Turtley Love You, Mom!” for cutest ever Mother’s Day card!
