Building Block Busy Bag with Pool Noodles

All three of my kids love to build and create and ask to take their Lego bricks with them into the tub and the pool.  To give them blocks that can easily go in and out of water and won’t get lost down the drain I made them blocks made out of pool noodles!

Pool Noodle Blocks! A simple busy bag for kids to build and create with in the bath, the pool, the house, or anywhere. Great for travel!

My kids had so much fun with them that I decided to make sets to give out to my friends at one of our Moms Night Out Busy Bag Swaps!  To make the bags my husband and I cut up pool noodles into lots of different shapes with scissors and steak knives.

Then I packaged the blocks into mesh bags for storage and easy drying.  These are very easy to put together!

Blocks are such a great toy for encouraging creativity and problem solving in kids and these pool noodle blocks are no different.  They are so much fun in the tub and great to take with you while traveling!

Pool season is almost over where I am…but I don’t care! I’m making these blocks and using them for 2 more weeks! (plus, as you said, there’s always the tub!)

Thanks JDaniel4’s Mom!!! I almost didn’t post them because they are really so simple, but I’m glad I did!
