Have you made kindness stones or rocks before?
It’s so simple to do!
You decorate rocks and leave them for others to find. It’s a fun act of kindness that any age can do and has really caught on in recent years! There are tons of local Facebook groups where you can share photos of any rocks you discover. It’s such a great way to spread kindness in your community.
We are putting a heart themed spin on the traditional kindness stone and challenging you to leave a love rock in your community for another to find!
Leaving a love rock for someone to find is the Week 3 Kindness Challenge for the 2018 100 Acts of Kindness Project!
Love Rock Kindness Challenge
The best part about this challenge is that once you make one love rock you won’t want to stop! And the kindness will spread even farther.
Here are the supplies you need:
- small rocks to decorate (smooth flat ones work best)
- paint markers, Sharpies, chalk markers (oil based usually work best but may stain clothes so use your judgment)
Making the love rocks is simple! All you need to do is draw or paint a heart or heart themed design on a stone.
For best results start with a clean, dry rock on a flat surface. Use the markers or paint pens to draw a heart or heart themed design on the rock. Wait for it to dry and leave it somewhere for someone to find.
