Learning with the Sprinkle Pre-Writing Bag
Before kids learn how to hold a pencil correctly and start to write paragraphs they engage in mark making and other pre-writing skills. These skills include visual processing, where they are coordinating what they see with what they are creating with their hands, and the fine motor skills involved in actually making marks.
For younger preschoolers and toddlers the sensory experience of moving the sprinkles around inside the busy bag is full of learning. As kids get older and they can start making more complicated drawings such as shapes and letters.
