We are counting down to Christmas with 24 Random Acts of Christmas Kindness and our first act of kindness was for the birds.

We made bird food ornaments to hang outside for the nearby birds to eat and enjoy!

Bird Food Ornaments! A fun random act of Christmas kindness for kids.

How to Make Bird Food Ornaments:

  • pipe cleaners
  • low sugar cereal with a hole in the middle (whatever kind you like!)

We have made homemade bird treats before and love that recipe, but didn’t have all the ingredients we needed this time so improvised with cereal!

They threaded the cereal onto the pipe cleaners and bent them to look like candy canes.

Make an ornament that's also a bird treat! A fun random act of Christmas kindness for kids!

When we were done we went outside and hung them on our bushes.  This was a fun and crafty act of kindness for Christmas!

If you want to follow along with all of our Random Acts of Christmas Kindness this year follow me on Instagram or search the hashtag #24RACKs.

Use the hashtag to record your own acts of kindness this month, I’d love to see what you do!

They were all eaten, but we never saw by who–either the birds or the deer enjoyed them! 😉
