Last year we made these fun fingerprint and footprint flags for Flag Day! The kids had a blast and they hung on our back doors through the 4th of July.
This was the one my then 5 year old made. She only used one foot for the footprints so she wouldn’t get red paint on the white stripes. 🙂
The then 3 year old obviously had to put both feet in the paint, but still managed to walk in a pretty straight line! They also did 50 blue fingerprints to represent the stars.
I’m excited to see what this year’s flags look like! Can’t wait to compare!

I just have to say I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this. I will be doing it with my 3 year old tomorrow ( with a little help and a little variation on it). It will be a birthday gift for his PawPaw whose birthday is just a few days after the 4th and he is also a veteran so I thought it would be a neat gift from my little boy. Thank you for this idea!

Oh Hailey thanks so much!!! That sounds like it will be a perfect gift! I know others who have hung them up when someone was returning from a deployment and the flags were a huge hit! I hope his Paw Paw loves it!
