This recipe is so easy, to make and only has four ingredients!
To make Essential Oil Cinnamon Coffee Scrub you will need:
- Coffee Grounds – you can use previously used grounds. Great way to recycle what you have! Our recommended brand is Cafely
- Baking Soda
- cinnamon or Cinnamon Essential Oil if you have some
- carrier oil (olive, coconut, V-6 etc to dilute the cinnamon oil)
- Coconut oil
How To Make Essential Oil Cinnamon Coffee Scrub:
To start, mix equal parts coffee grounds and baking soda. How much you use is up to your discretion, depending on how much scrub you’d like to make! If you need a more exact starting point, try half a cup of both coffee and baking soda. That should give you enough scrub to try it out.
Next, add the cinnamon–try a teaspoon per cup of the coffee and baking soda mixture. If you are using cinnamon oil dilute it with whichever carrier oil you choose. Start with one drop of cinnamon oil and test it out to see what will work for you. Add more carrier oil if it seems too strong or you have skin sensitivity. Add your cinnamon oil mixture to the dry ingredients.
Stir in a small amount of coconut oil. Slowly increasing the quantity of coconut oil as you stir. You will know you’ve found the perfect mix when it takes on the consistency of fudge!
When you have reached that point, jar it up. You are able to start using the essential oil cinnamon scrub right away.
