The world is about to get a whole lot kinder because today is the first day of the 100 Acts of Kindness Project! Starting today we’re challenging you (your kids, your class, your friends, your group) to complete 100 acts of kindness by Valentine’s Day. And we’re kicking things off with a secret kindness challenge!

Kids love to do secret acts of kindness–the stealthy do-good nature of these types of kindness acts is very superhero-ish and very appealing. We always say we feel like kindness ninjas when we try to do something like leave change on a vending machine before anyone sees us!

A secret act of kindness for strangers that kids love to do! So easy! Join the 100 Acts of Kindness Project!

Secret Act of Kindness Challenge

Our Week #1 Kindness Challenge is to surprise a stranger with kindness!

Our secret act of kindness was to hide money in the Dollar Store for strangers to find.

We printed a bunch of the free printable RAK’d cards and stapled them to bags filled with a dollar and a dime.

Leave a surprise act of kindness for a stranger to find! Such fun to kids to do good for others!

Then with all our supplies ready we headed to our local dollar store to surprise some strangers! The kids decided to hide them in the toy section, the candy section and the Valentine’s Day section.

The store was busy when we got there but we were still able to hide them all without anyone noticing. I was even able to snap some quick photos. As we were leaving we heard someone squeal that she had found one–such fun for us to hear!

I love the Dollar Store idea, Megan! My daughter and I had a lot of fun with all secret acts of kindness in 2014. We used Operation Beautiful and 100 Acts of Kindness together. Even though we’re both adults, we had a great time making sure no one saw us. 🙂

    Hi Megan!

I just had to stop by your blog to tell you how KOTAWesome I think you are for spreading so much kindness around the world!

I love how you make kindness fun for kids, in a superhero/ninja kind of way.

The Dollar Store Random Act of Kindness goodie bags are just brilliant!

I can only imagine how joyful it would be to find a dollar and a dime in a bag, along with your ever-so-special “You’ve been RAK’d card.

That is the best Valentine’s Day present imaginable!
