There are so many sugary treats out this time of year!  Halloween brings non-stop sweets that last all the way through Valentine’s Day.  Fun food like this Thanksgiving Fruit Turkey get kids excited about eating some of the healthy stuff too!

Thanksgiving Food for Kids--Fruit Turkey!

Thanksgiving Fruit Turkey Supplies:

  • pear or apple for the body
  • raisins
  • carrot
  • peanut butter
  • grapes or favorite cut up fruit
  • wooden skewers

These turkeys are easy to make and great for Thanksgiving morning!  Kids can make and eat them while you watch the parades or while dinner is cooking.

Use fruit to make a turkey for kids this Thanksgiving!

I stick the skewers into the pear and let my kids stick the grapes or other fruit onto the dull end.  If your kids are younger and aren’t used to having fruit on a stick you can clip both ends off to make it safer.

Healthy Thanksgiving Snack--Fruit Turkeys!

We stick the raisin eyes and carrot nose onto the pear with peanut butter.  Super easy!
