Spring is here! It’s the perfect time to go outside with your kids and spread some kindness. Here are some fun and easy ways to make a difference this spring.
Spring Acts of Kindness for Kids:
- Feed the birds. You can make your own bird treats or just grab a bird feeder and fill it with seed.
- Give a flower to someone in the community you see every day.
- Leave sidewalk chalk messages at the park or in your neighborhood. You could even use glow in the dark chalk!
- Plant a tree. If you don’t have space to plant one at your house there are many organizations that you can give to that will plant one for you. Do a search to find one near you.
- Do yard work for a neighbor. This is a fun one to do as a secret act of kindness.
- Send a sunshine to faraway family members–these cheery notes are sure to make them smile.
- Leave kindness eggs at the park. Such a fun way to use up your extra plastic Easter eggs.
- Grow fruits and veggies and donate extras to the food pantry. You could also donate little pots of herbs that families can use all year long.
- Pay the toll for the person behind you. Spring is full of reasons to travel. Make someone else’s road trip more fun by paying for their toll.
- Bury treasure at the playground for kids to find. So much fun for the kids that bury it and the kids that find it!
I got you started with ten, but there are TONS of acts of kindness that would be perfect for spring. Please, share any you do on my Facebook page!
