This paper plate bunny puppet is such a fun and easy preschool craft! Kids can use the puppet while they are singing Easter songs, retelling stories or just playing pretend.

 Paper Plate Bunny Craft Supplies:

  • white paper plate
  • free printable bunny ear template
  • pink tissue paper (or whatever color or kind of paper you have on hand)
  • popsicle stick
  • googly eyes
  • silver Sharpie
  • scrap of pink paper
  • cotton ball

It seems like a long list but don’t worry, it’s not a complicated craft!

How to Make a Bunny Puppet

First we cut out the bunny ears tore some pieces of the tissue paper. We glued the tissue paper to the ears and then attached the ears to the plate with tape. We taped the ears to the plate on both side to help them stand up.

Then we stuck on the googly eyes and cut and glued on a pink nose. We drew whiskers on with a silver Sharpie and taped the popsicle stick to the back of the plate.

Then we glued the cotton ball “tail” on top of the popsicle stick!

Ours even hung out with our lemon tree for awhile!

We love making paper plate crafts because they are cute and sturdy enough to stand up to lots of pretend play.  If you love paper plate crafts too then make sure to check out The Pleasantest Thing’s paper plate and cotton ball bunny!
